Opera’s treasure hunt at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology ,Noida

, , ,

27th Jan – 4th Feb: Techy warriors from different colleges registered in the treasure hunt event. Out of 200 registrations ,14 warriors reached the battle field and challenged each other . Gearing up their thinking weapons and moving in their tank of thought, the final destination was found by them, by going through the tricky clues and attacking and winning the same by their witty brains.

Each day at 00:00 midnight ,the accounts of the Participants were flooded with some tricky questions on general awareness and logical reasoning which were laced up with some helpline questions related to opera. In case a participant got stuck at any level, he/she can answer the easy questions on opera features, OS on which its browser work etc and get the hint on that question in form of a picture or statement. Some helpline questions increase the total score of the participant as well. Each day at 11 pm(23 hrs after the new questions had been updated) the responses along with the questions were freezed and the current rankings of the players were made available in their respective account home page.
To win the game the techy warriors need to cross all the fourteen levels. In case the helpline questions were left untouched, he/she can answer the same and get bonus marks for the same.

The first three participants were awarded with opera goodies. Also the youth club of our college awarded them with cash prizes. The event unrevealed the depth of circuitous imagination and loads fun and challenges inside the treasure chest. Our technical team members Anurag Sharma, Abhinav Jain and Nitish Ranjan helped to make this event a success.

Alas we are only 12% females in the Opera Campus Crew. :S

Anushka, I love that you're trying to write creatively, though could you tell us a little more about the event? What did they actually have to find in the treasure hunt? How are they supposed to do it? How long did they have to complete the task? How was this related to Opera?

Fantastic that you had 200 people participate!
