”If you untie the red string i'll take the person who torments on you to hell. In return you have to make a payment to me. When your body dies, your soul will be taken to hell too. when someone is cursed, two graves are dug.
The similiar voice, soft but clearly appears everytime one person makes a contract with hell girl to end up their unbearable suffering on earth.
The most noticeable point of this animation is that it has brought up a very deep and painful aspect of japanese society in the past as well as today. I'm much impressed by this story:
- A girl falls for a boy next door. she's so in love with him that she could do anything for him even selling her soul for hell to stop another girl who tries to play with his fragile heart.. but only one thing she could hardly bear : the boy finds out that she is the most important person to him and he falls for her finally. She is actually afraid that their relationship will reach the limit and then break away; so the girl refuses the boy imidiately. She shuts the window to stop the boy getting into her room as usual. And when she opens it for a talk, the boy loses his balance and falls off his position onto the ground and dies. Then, she leaves her reminiscent place forever with a wound in her heart.
A lot of painful stories in Japanese real life are exposed through the animation. Hell is not so scary as the way people treat each other, a so indescribably deep, weird loves that cause great sorrows, grudges, hatreds .... I think this animation is worth watching for anyone who love to discover mysteries of people's odd psychology and love horror stuff.
