The Captains Musings

Stephen Fry Really Is A Consumate Broadcaster

Now I know the guy has a brain the size of the planet and is loved by the camera but I cannot think of anyone else who could have made a programme on language so interesting,i know that scenic locations help but having highbrow discussions with linguistic experts would normally have most people reaching for the remote. Stephens easy manner and ability,as we know from QI,to take the most complex conundram and put it into laymans terms did however make the whole programme a real joy to watch and I await next weeks episode with great anticipation.

They are not available here yet, not to my knowledge anyway.
I did however, enjoy Fry, playing Wilde and his part in V for Victory.
I reckon the series would be a delight.
Looking forward to a broadcast here or the dvd.

Watching the second episode this minute. Fry does a brilliant tour of the english accents.

Have you seen any of his other documentaries? They're all good.

I didn't like his high speed tour of the USA. He got just a little too sycophantic.
