Olga and myself are looking for our first big move together, and we have decided on Hawaii, and more specifically Kailua - Kona. Nothing is "Locked-On" yet because we don't know too much about the pros and cons of other Hawaiian cities in relation to this one. However from what my sister (who lived the for a year) has told me Kailua - Kona is more of a laid back place than a busy busy city. As for me personally I want to go where it is more laid back style of life, and of course surfing! I want to surf every chance I can get. Hopefully becoming a surf instructor or something so that every day is filled with surfing!

And I have no idea if this is a realistic thought to have right away or not - hopefully it is
Is anyone here on Opera located in Kailua - Kona? We sure would like some friends from the place to kind of help us along! We are also no strangers to meeting people on MyOpera and traveling great distances to have fun with them, my wife and I met here, she is from Poland and I am from the Colorado USA. So meeting far away people is realistic for us

So, people, tell us what you think, is this a cool plan or what?! do you have any tips for us, and anyone can chime-in even if you never have visited Hawaii or mainland US for that matter! let us know!
