.."Let's go Somerset". I hustled out the back door and across the back yard. Somerset was on my heels. The garage door was up and the car doors were already open. I got in on the left and Somerset took the right; we slapped on our safety harnesses. "OK Computer, take us up to the north end of High Street, and use the lights and the siren".
..The car rolled up the alley to Maine Street, took a right and went past the courthouse, trailing a cloud of dust behind. The car went left on High Street and headed north. "That siren is damn loud!", remarked Somerset.
.."I don't know why, but Computer just loves the lights and the siren. It would use them all of the time if I let it". The car kept going past the last of the buildings, at the end of the street, it halted. "OK, cut the siren and lights off". Suddenly there was blessed silence.
