meme, internet, Humour
While stumbling across the net I came across quite a funny, yet really stupid meme (aren't they all) This one is all about "yo boy, x to the z, xzibit!"
If you ever watched the show you will be familiar with his phrases as he repeats them in each show only changing a few words with respective to the owner and the vehicle. Well that's the basic premise of this meme. Found a few quotes for you to enjoy so here goes, enjoy yourself. Please note if you didn't watch the show this will probably seem really stupid to you, and, if you have watched the show, it's still going to be really stupid

My life
Happy New Year etc etc. 2008 is finally dead
But in better news I just received my shiny new Asus EEE PC, and it's in black
Let's tell you why it's so cool (insert pic of a listening smiley here)
Firstly it's no bigger than the manual it's come with. So it is damn small, but it has fairly high build quality. No bits and pieces dangling about, a pretty solid unit all round, despite being less than a kilo it still feels very sturdy.
The screen, resolution is 800x400. Hardly something to brag about but once again on the small 7" screen it looks like a much higher resolution. Text is highly readable, even from about half a metre away. The screen is impressive.
The processor, haven't really tested that out much but hey, it's a netbook, not a gaming powerhouse.
Operating system is unfortunately Windows XP
Yes I know what you thinking, what's the point of getting an EEE PC if you have Windows running. Well it was solely chosen for the purpose of setting up peripheral devices. I've tried setting up devices through Linux and it's not fun. Give me a month with XP and after a month or two I'll have PupEEE Linux running.
Now the keyboard and the trackpad. The keyboard is small and if you have fatter fingers you will probably be living in a nightmare if you try typing on this machine. But if like me your fingers are fairly normal you will be able to adapt quickly. If you're a touch typer the problems that you will run into is overshooting key due to the compact layout, but nothing an hour or two wont let you get around. The trackpad like any other, can't really complain about it since I only use a desktop mouse.
Sound is okay, nothing special. Also due to the screen size you have to scroll up or down to display a full image. For example, the standard windows desktop, you have to scroll down to see the taskbar and back up to see the full desktop. You can complain about it but it's rather that than them trying to squeeze everything into one screen where you can't read or see anything.
This will continue later
Ok there is a problem. I think it has a virus and they didn't send me an XP cd though it has XP on it.
I think a full format is in order
Update 2009/01/23 : Well been running it for a week without having to format on re-install anything. It's all good.
