Time really flies. I've been working in our current company for almost 2 years. Let me look back to see if there's any changes on me since I came here.
At the beginning, I was calling different kinds of strangers to ask if they were interested in our products or not, just doing some promotional jobs. But now I'm an internal merchandiser, following the clients and our factory, and help my Shanghai colleague -- C.W. to follow up some foreign clients from time to time.
Such as what happened today, it was supposed to be kinda an easy day today, as not many customers work on weekends. I usually assort the files on Saturday. But I didn't do this today, I went out. A.Z. told me to pick C.W.'s client J from the Shangri-La Hotel in Luo Hu Railway Station. J was supposed to visit our factory next Thu., but he changed the plan. So I need to pick him up earlier. It took us around 1 hour to reach the hotel from our fty. He doesn't know Chinese at all(execpt "ni hao" -- hello in Chinese), that's why he stood right outside the gate and kept look around in case I couldn't find him. lol.
After we got J back to the factory, we showed him the products which had already been prepared and let him checked randomly. We had to make it hurried, cuz he had to visit the next supplier in ZhongShan at 3p.m. When we arrived at our fty, it was already 11a.m. It takes 2 hours and a half for the trip. Then, we just had one hour to check the product dimension and confirm other samples details. Thanks G we had all the things done on time. It was his first time to come to China. I hope he won't get lost. If I were visiting a foreign country, I might get lost again and again in the street and end up in the Lost and Found...
We usually don't need to work on Saturday afternoon, so I applied a piano course to idle away the time every weekends. However, on this weekend, as I saw someone need help when Im not very busy, I helped em' instead. They need to deliver the goods today. For some reason, they didn't inform the related workers to come in advance. (Workers don't work on Sat. and Sun.) They were lack of ppl for delivering the good to the container truck. Though they made calls to many male worker, the people they called had already been out or had other things to do. That's why I became one of deliverers. Finally, 6 men and 11 women delivered 400 pcs cartons from the second floor to the truck at the gate. We stood in a long line and passed the carton one by one till it got to the truck. I'm so moving for our great team-working and had all the goods delivered one hour ealier than we expected. So I couldn't help shooting some photos while working. lol.
That was my meaningful Saturday and the last day of July in 2010.
