I purchased this fan for my new house a year ago for installation in the large living room. I installed it on a large down-rod, and it has performed well. It is sophisticated looking, very quiet and puts off a lot of wind. The fit and finish is very good as well. While all the Hunter products I have purchased have been good, this fan is a standout because it comes with a 4-light light kit, and a very nice remote control. The lights are dimmable, but they do not easily support CFL -only drawback. Otherwise, great fan for a large room. I purchased a second for my bedroom.
