Diabeties and Rights

Its so frustrating to hear my son order Diet Coke no matter where we go. I have him drinking soda of any kind yes, and I am not a big fan of artificial sugar of any kind, but that is not the issue I am concerned about. Can you imagine what thought would do through your mind if when you ask a waitress what she has to drink she said Coke. And that was it. As far as any dinning establishment my son Dante, diagnosed at 1 year old, has eaten at he has one choice. I cant find beverage for him in 7-11 most the times. I cant even find it at the stores. Unless its diet soda. There is power zero....great product but hard to find and there is flavor water not sure of the brand. Also great product. SO my concern is this. Dante is Diabetic, and unfortunately he has to maintain a sugar free diet. HE has no choice but to not have a choice. He is about 10% of all kids. Kids that do have a choice....or do they? Sure they have lots and lots and lots of different varieties that a full of sugar and God knows what else to chose from. . Some are all sugar. Choices that are unhealthy fattening and bad for teeth. If they wish to steer clear from these types of beverage then they have the same choice as Dante does. Do you see what I am getting at here> America ....wise up. Its all about supply and demand. Start demanding your children are raised in a world where healthy nutrition is a choice. Because right now it is not!
