Here's a thought...if you didn't have God in your heart from the beginning, then you won't have God in your heart ever no matter how matter scriptures you recite or spout. God is a matter of the heart, not the spouting of words.

As a reply to Matthew:
God knew us before we were born into this world. The first miracle, and one we all have experienced, is conception. Therefore I would presume God has been in our hearts from before the very beginning of our mortal lives.

I find, or at least it been my experience that all the scripture will not hold water if the person does not have the strength to actually "do" what is necessary to make the changes for yourself in you life. If you do nothing and just recite scripture, like many that I know who try and change people instead of making their own situation different; sound like babbling and preaching. I do not preach to anyone. What they believe is what they believe and that is that, I do not try and convert, change, or force feed my ideas of my believes on others. It isn't fair to do that. It is best to keep them where they will do the most good and that is in my own heart, not someone else's.

I have died before, literally and physically, and met God. It is not for me to tell you what is in your heart, Samantha; it is up to you to discover for yourself through your heart; and not just scriptures.

Sometimes one must look at the river for what it is, instead of analizing it to pieces. When you can do that, then you can touch the river and feel it run through you.

Matthew,

1. What makes you think that you know my heart when you don't know me? Then what gives you the right to judge me?

MATTHEW chapter 7 verses 1&2 says "Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgement ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete it shall be measured to you again."

2. Jesus gave us the great commission in MATTHEW chapter 28 verses 18 to 20 "and Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therfore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world."

3. How sad that you want to keep the joys of salvation to yourself and not share them with others.
