Cars are Heavy and Some People are Nice!

, , , ,

To cut a very long story short, I was out in the car with my Daughter and Bindy the Foodhound, and ended up with a flat battery, so taking my life in my hands on this fairly busy road I tried to bump start the car. Now if you have ever tried to push a car on your own and without the benefit of power steering being on, then like me you end up thinking, a: I wish I'd bought a smaller car b: I wish I'd bought a lighter car c: I wish I'd caught a bus. Or d: I wish I'd stayed in bed this morning.
After pulling muscles I haven't used for a long time I still couldn't get the car to start and was just deciding on the best way to get my Daughter and dog back home, when a car pulled up behind me and a guy got out and offered to help. Within 5 minutes and the use of some jump leads I was ready to go again.
I could now rant on about how much better life would be if we all took time out of our so called busy lives and stopped to help others, But lets face it, it isn't going to happen,
So to the guy that stopped and helped I hope the Gods smile on you and lots of good things happen for you, and to the Hundred or so other motorists that just drove by I hope your wheels fall off.

I've had that happen to me but with a flat tire and no tools...lol. Someone did stop and help. There are still a few good people out there thankfully. The thing is next time you see someone that needs help. Stop and help them too. Maybe they will stop for the next person. Start a chain reaction of good smile
