Passing remarks

I shall share with thee what most touched my heart and sentiments....Persian verses had never failed to convey their meanings in a meanful yet simple natural ways.Few days back i was in Ziarat, the most beautiful and still deserted hill town of Pakistan where practically no hint of modernization exist apart from a 12 hour illumination.
There in an abundance of thousands of years old alpine trees,is a seraye (seraye is a sort of medievel rest house made for travellers, generally it is only a shelter they provide and normally they are deserted.sometimes due to odd reasons travellers would discontinue their journey and stay for a night or two).
In that seraye i visited was written a verse in Persian that had the most beautiful meaning...

"The kings and the beggers
All are but travellers
they come,they stay,for a day or two
and to private journeys they all continue
i stand and i see,as i must
towards the sunset,the gusting dust
for i am a seraye...
i am the world!"

though this isn't the best translation, what touched my heart was the humble truth it contained, the world remains whereas the men pass by like travellers....it is funny how on the single piece of land thousand years ago roamed a naked man howling wildly now a skyscapper stands heightened with all the modern sphistication?
the traveller with his time is gone.........

the point is not today is a national holiday....the point is why it is a national holiday.
