About me

Live in the country surrounded on a big dairy farm, with fields and river and mountains in the north and in the south. Invest my time and energy in protecting and rejuvenating the farm house, and developing community. Not a large community and sincere nevertheless.
Enjoy physical exercise in the natural environment. Go hiking nearly every day through the fields and cycle a lot on fine treed mountain roads during the three warmer seasons. Enjoy lifting things and this is an agreable quality in someone around this working place.
Enjoy cooking in an old-fashioned rural way. The wrought-iron pans get a work out in the sturdy kitchen.
Really big on nutrition, natural food, organic crops, fresh clean well water, turning the kitchen scraps back to the earth and sending the stuff I buy to be reused somewhere.
Trying out some local food like dandelions and pine bark tea, just for the sake of the pioneer experience which is right here.

Can't read enough. Presently wallowing in adventure and historical fiction and doing a lot of research to support my projects and blog work.
Can have too many pictures? or most likely not as there are 700 digital pictures of the farm property and still a couple of buildings and structures to go.

Very keen on developing my linux hardware and setup.
View the world from a humorous place.
Here for good.

My work

I do all kinds of work outside and inside however, the most important and consistent work for me has always been writing. I am pressing a lot of effort into the social network stream as it provides a broader social and world view for me in this small place. I still produce graphic design after almost thirty years and like drawing tools and typography best. Interested in manufacturing a comprehensive blog and pattern of work to support a lot of interests.

My main project is the daily archive of the historical farm in photos on Flickr, and on my Wordpress blog, RedBarnRead.

Why I choose the Opera browser

Opera Browser is smart and quick.
Feels new and exciting after years of grey browsers.
Opera is a lean and powerful innovative web browser. Very involving interface and lots of useful and well-designed tools for integration. Can run it merrily on a regular computer running Linux Ubuntu and with a modem to connect to the internet. As I understand it is designed just for this purpose for use in eastern Europe and many other communities. Recently discovered Opera Link which is a speedy work tool for using multiple computers no matter what browser. Can Widgetize a page! Anyway, really like it and appreciate the intuitive designers and top-notch programming.
