Fluffy Bunnies - and -

hungry wolves...

2 Weeks 2 GO!!

, ,

So exams are all done and behind us. Still waiting for the results though - hoping its all good news. But the great realization today came in the form of - TWO WEEKS TO THE HOLIDAYS!! WOOHOO...

Can't wait to sleep in, not got to work, over eat, give gifts and all that jazz. Just have to finish up my last audit for the year. Oh boy and is it ever a bummer! The client has no air-con. Today was alright, but yesterday I nearly died in the heat. Felt like I was hitting menopause with hot flashing and everything. Its so difficult to try and work when you're sweating like a Dutch pig in heat. :ko:

Hope the holidays is all you wish for guys... Enjoy it!!

Internet Connection Costs in SA

Don't know bout other countries, but apparently South Africa has one of the world's highest internet connection costs. This, according to the internet companies, is due to SA not being connected with as many and as high speed undersea fibre optic cables. Not only is internet costs high in SA but telecommunication in general. I think the South African consumer also plays a part as we generally don't complain. You get used to crappy service and high fees. I mean who needs the internet. Besides who could possibly need more than 250mb a month? REALLY...

Lets compare, feel free to comment (please state your country also)
In South Africa a 3G / HSDPA wireless connection - which is what most people use due to the good coverage and lack of landline infrastructure - will cost you R2.00 per 1MB that is equal to $0.25 per 1MB. I think that's quite high, as a mere 500MB will cost you R1000 ($126.77) - any thoughts? :bomb:

Accounting one-o-what?

DONE DONE DONE!!
YaY!! Done with accounting... for now.. Exam went all right. Might even pass LoL
Could actually do 90% of the paper, just one question about the issue of company shares that I didn't study so I had no idea what they were talking bout, but other than that I think I did quite well. Hope so...

Next up is e-commerce on Friday. One of my favourite subjects since it's got to do with technology and computers and the net.

5 down 2 to go!!! Whoo Hoo - I can see the finish line.

Accounting 102 and bunnies in red skirts

All right, writing accounting 102 at university this week and I'm trying my best to get the studying done before then. Seems like it's going to be a "let's just work out old exam papers" situation. So far that strategy has paid off every time. I think it's got something to do with the lecturers at the university setting the question in much the same way as every other previous years'. Well I won't complain. At least it gets me through!! WooHoo!!

3 down 4 to go...

Yo Mama's Opera

,

I've known about Opera since version 6 and been checking out each new version as it came out. Firefox however remained my browser of choice, with the release of Firefox 3 and 3.5 however it seems Mozilla is getting lumpy (almost feels like you're on the next gen IE) so I tried Chrome from the Googly Guys, love it, but its way too minimalistic for me. Then I got my grubby paws on Opera 10 beta. WoW!! Great work guys. Love it and is now using it 24/7. Can't wait to see the final version.
