A battle between reason and passion / tongtong
Emotionally you are pulled while cognitively you are pushed, you try as hard to withstand the temptation and attraction from emotion as to reason the justfications to ought-doings, this is a battle wrestled between two opposing foreces, you feel as though you are torn into pieces by them, it is a fierce fight for two camps to claim dominance of your mind, as if you are divided into two persons, you don't know which part you are going to stand up for, which side you are supposed to object against, but render yourself to the final outcome of the battle, but how ? without objective choice and efforts seriously input in the battle, how can the battle starts? there is no escape ! yet there is no necessary to prepare a battle after all, the war starts itself! Emotion quietly predominates your brain cell and exerts emotional influence on your mind, yes, you may feel tears already have been rolling down your face, the proceeding outburst of emotion takes you overwhelmingly, you have a good cry afterwards.
As the emotion is greatly released and it subsided eventally, you sob slowly and you feel another power graudally approaches your mind, and it grows stronger till your countenance becomes composed as it reinforces its value and reasoning in an escalated pace and intensity, you look like inclined to change something established of formula even fundamental things in your policy of life to absorb the impending enlightenment out of a sudden, it is solemn moment, you feel that you are shaking the shackle of the old attachment, you feel like being freed from an invisible prison set by oneself, you envision a world full of wisdom, reason, hope and order, with this inspiring thought, your eyes are moistened again, but an excited tears this time, with light of knowledge that you are on the right road !
The battle is wound up, with ashes of whirly emotional smoke encircled around, confused, with moistened air like tears splashed around, appearing an informidable gesture to reclaim the battle; yet the light of reason, gear up for a new mission, with firm steps. I am awakened from the stunning battle and take up my pen to have a warm close-up of this battle. I know it is only a temporary peace. Anyhow, it is a wonderful peace deserve value, not in the sake of peace itself, but the battle !life is full of battles, yet do we know the stubborn enemies sometime impede our advances are ourselves, most of time our emotions.
When emotion is well governed, it serves us perfectly and smooths our way, yet when it take control of us, it wrecks havoc everywhere we go, screws up everything we do, jeopardizes our beloved's feeling sometime, devastates our efforts achieved mercilessly. by all means, it is worthwhile to be aware of emotion which is wrong-orientedly.

My delicate skin scars easily, that's what caused the scabs in my hands when I have played horizontal bar. However, I underwent the painful period of the beginning and can easily play it without feeling strain of muscle and pain in skin anymore. Yet I could never enjoy playing horizontal bar should I have been recoiled from the difficulty at the first place I encountered it; likewise, I could never experience the joy of conquering should I have given up with only halfway attempts and got dismayed. This is whole story of stimulation-try-hindrance-perseverance-stamina-joy-culmination.
There is neither overnight increase in strength nor shortcut in gaining knowlege except everyday practice with correct approach. More often than not, we admire someone's stunning feat yet seldom do we ask about the hidden efforts they have given for achieving it. Likewise, we are easily overwhelmed by someone's staggering ability yet rarely we have a serious contemplation of the sweats, bloods and tears they shedded behind the scene for fulfilling it.
So I am not easily overwhelmed by any splendid performance by others as before than by what they have paid for it, I can imagine the episodes as the same way as I can imagine a rosy scenario as I see a constant practicer with steadfast efforts done on regular basis. It is a law of progress, law of success at large. I am not as easily get dazzled by the splendid rose as I am more conscious of its spine, and therefore, i develop the new perspective to view the world, me inclued.
Pain is not insufferable anymore, harsh words not repulsive as before, the loss and diminished affection not heartache as usual and scabs not ugly as the way faulted perspective views, just as I appreciate more the increased strength derived from phycial pain, inspiration drawn from righteous harsh words, wisdom extracted from wound and beauty built on the scab.

A triangle for positive life / tongtong
A triangle of power is imaginable for correct martial movement. These three elements must be present in order to deliver power. If an element is missing, the triangle collapses and we lose power. The three main elements are Body Movement. Range and Structure. You have body movement to send, range where you need to get them to and a structure to deliver your movement to the opponent. This is a winning combination.
In the same vein, we can imgaine a triangle of power for positive life. they are faith, action and dream. However, if you take away any one of these aspects, the whole life is wobbling. Without Body Movement (action) you have no content of meaning. So it doesn't matter if you have a dream. Without Range (dream) there's no positioning and anchor, therefore having action does you no good. Structure (faith) is the means that will get your actions to the course of dream... and if that structure breaks down, then you are in a world of trouble. It doesn't matter how big of action(body movement) you have, they ain't getting there.
We all too often mistakes (or outright lack) in one will affect others. For example, let's say you are in the wrong dream for an action. we'll say you are too far out. You will have to sacrifice faith to compensate for bad dream. In order to still reach your target you will have to twist your action in a manner that it cannot withstand the impact from its bad effect. So now instead of achieving gratification happily you're encountering disrruptions now and then. Furthermore, because you have twisted your action or are turning illegal or immoral, you are also interjecting elements of action that should not be in that way. Who knows where your action is heading off now. These extra types of actions are more likely to rob you of sense of fulfillment, than reinforce.
Now someone may immediately start arguing that there are many more elements involved, such as passion, perseverance, power, and ect. It's true, these other elements are indeed involved. However another way of looking at this triangle is as if it is a three-sided corral. These three elements are what keep the "energy" of passion, perseverance, power, and ect., inside. It is in that corral where you want them so they are useful to you.
Quite frankly, many of the errors made in achieving a positive life come from losing one of these "corral" elements and trying to fix the hole in the fence by trying to use an "energy" as a part of the corral fence. We cannot believe the number of times we see people trying to compensate for action through power or little trick. Or how often we see people trying to compensate for lack of faith through passion. Our all time favorite though is when they try to compensate for a their lack of these elements by throwing a whirlwind of ineffective manoeuvre. That's like saying "We're losing money on every transaction, but that's okay, we'll make it up with volume of sales!"
So let's say right here and now: Those "energy" elements are inside the corral, they are not what makes the corral. Don't ever try to make passion, power and manoeuvre source of your power, because it simply is not going to work. And the more you try to "patch" the holes in your corral's fence with these elements, the more things are going to fall apart on you.
it's obvious to acknowledge now that life is underpined by faith, bolstered by dream, promoted by action, life could be enjoyable and pleasant should we build life on solid groud, lack of any aspect of these three, though added with passion, skills and etc, you gonna find you deflect to the wrong direction where there is no desirable result at all. one must realize this fundamentals in life, there is no otherwise solution to have a positive life but to fulfill your dream under the guide of firm faith with effective actions.

Move forward / tongtong
There are different types of shadowboxing players in the different parks, even in the same park, rendezvous for shadowboxing fans to come together to practise shadowboxing and to improve their skills and performances. they unequivocally assert their correctness, YEAH. I do agree they are all correct! each has a different purpose and application. just like a punch, you are only punching "wrong" if you attempt to punch one way when you should be punching another. This in the same sense of using one tool when you should be using another. the choice might be wrong rather the tool itself.
Wrong or not, a move needs to meet certain standards and have certain elements. You can't just glamourize what you claim long when what you have been teaching is not as applicable as others', there is prevailing competition everywhere anyway. like a hammer, when the head of hammer is made of toffee and the handle made out of licorice, how could you assert your hammer could do without hardness ? you couldn't possibly drive a nail with it.
To this very reason, I shifted to another coach these days to practise shadowboxing skills related with martial art. I am proud of my decision and I leart something so important to me beyond of shadowboxing itself. I'd like to address it in another article followed.. anyhow, I am still grateful of my formal coach for his careful teaching of me some basic training and skills, they are all of great importance for me to be able to catapult to a higher ladder of practice. yet as I know clearly that i must keep advance instead of lingering on the original level all the time. it's not a matter of sign to respect my coach, for I still hold homage to my former coach and being his good friend and it will be the same later, it's a matter of the law of exceling, it could be awfully terrible if I would not have progressed from grade one all the life otherwise.

Expert warns of negative effects of foreign financial firms
(Xinhua)
Updated: 2006-09-16 14:32
The entry of foreign financial firms into China will bring huge risks to the country's financial market, said Deputy Director Zheng Xinli of the Policy Research Office of the Communist Party of China Central Committee.
Speaking at an ongoing international financial symposium in Beijing, Zheng said, "Foreign firms will have opportunities to control China's financial markets when they are allowed to increase their shareholdings in Chinese banks in 2007."
He expressed his concerns over the profitability of Chinese commercial banks when they push forward with restructuring and reform. He pointed out that foreign firms could take advantage of Chinese firms' lesser managerial experience and cash in on China's burgeoning economy.
Foreign-funded banks will become formidable competitors with Chinese banks for high-quality clients and core services such as credit cards, mortgage loans and private banking, he said.
According to China's commitment to the World Trade Organization, the country will open its financial market by the end of 2006.
Through establishing more branches across China, foreign banks will be able to quickly increase their market share in China, he said.
He suggested that China should maintain absolute control of shareholdings in State-owned commercial banks and encourage foreign enterprises as well as domestic enterprises listed on overseas markets to go public on the Chinese mainland to expand the country's capital market.

Well done !
From the news China halts foreign investment in brokers (2006-09-15 11:19, By Geoff Dyer, Financial Times) that, China's stock market regulator announced on last Thursday that it had placed a temporary ban on investment by foreign brokerages in the domestic securities industry, the statement published on the website of the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC).
This news came before the new US Treasury Secretary, Hank Paulson, a former Goldman Sachs executive, who wished to pressure China to allow more foreign investment in financial sector. Shang Fulin, head of the CSRC, said the ban was likely to remain in place until around October next year, for the government hoped to have completed a reform of the shareholder structure of listed companies and to make it ready to be able to run the pilot project for joint venture securities institutions, from which foreign investors would be allowed to do some strategic mergers and acquisitions once the share reform would have been completed. UBS's attempted buy of 20 per cent stake in Beijing Securities for $200m as an model attempt in a deal in september last year was held up by regulatory delays for scruples of foreign investment.
though, the ban can only be temporary because China needs the expertise of foreign brokers to build up its capital market. someone abroad will think that this could be some kind of warning shot that the Chinese do not want to be pushed into opening up quickly. well, why not? China has been pushed by US, especially from last year, the ceasing of textile quota brought the rapid increase of chinese export, nevertheless, at the same time, it incurred bouts of intimidating responses from U.S, especially some stubborn congressman, who were eager to please some political force to earn favor in the sake of their parties, than to stand on reason to understand the fact that China had been complied to the internal trading rules. their flagrant pressure was backed by the congress, yet caved in eventually for its outrageously unreasonableness.
As I have been thinking, in US, there are some social influential power like congress, religion, enterprise, and academia, which exert their efforts to influence Government, in an overall result, the interest of the public is better protected. well , in China, though we have National People's Congress and the standing committee, but it's function is not well operated for its routine schedule limited, therefore, the function of specific department is of vital significance, to serve well to safeguard the interest of the people, to maintain the justice of the rules and agreements, without sparing any attempt to vialate them, no matter America or who ~
