WHICH IS BETTER?

which one is better, having many friends and not caring about any one of them or having just few and helping each other? I thought friendship is all about love and caring but I just noticed that it is not always like that in this opera community. Caring comes in many forms like, hello friend,how are you.... But I barely see that.I am an experimental person so,I noticed this and decided to bring it up to everybody's knowledge. No offences meant please.
