@Kostas, I love french press, strong! I have actually never tried the turkish coffee pot (that I know of) Sounds good though since I love strong coffee wink

@Mike, I also hooked my husband on coffee drinking. We use a 'regular' coffee brewer, like Mr. Coffee and prefer "Maxwell House" to Folgers. Folgers has always seemed to be bitter to me...

Mike BerningerPacerfan33 Saturday, April 2, 2011 6:54:15 PM

@Sarah, Too funny. I saw your comment and thought for a second that my wife was commenting...lol. Her name is Sarah as well. We had Maxwell House at work with a 3 pot Bunn coffee maker that I drunk there every morning and then Folger's at home. They recently got a new fresh ground coffee system at work and while most think it's an upgrade I'm sure. I thought that it was very bitter and just didn't taste good. I guess I'm a creature of habit.

I use a residential Bunn coffee maker. It wasn't my choice, but I am the one to keep it goin. I would rather use an old cheapie! That way, if and when it breaks down, I can choose to repair it or go get another one! I've tried different ways to make coffee too. I really wouldn't mind the French Press. You can actually SEE the coffee as it brews!

Mikestathaldol Friday, July 1, 2011 4:12:52 AM

I was recently reintroduced to an electric percolator. I had to have one. I like my coffee hotter than most. I own a French press but in the morning it's hard to beat the percolator!

Dan Parkerparker07231974 Friday, July 1, 2011 4:18:42 AM

That is very true, Mike! Also, with the percolator, you can SEE I the top exactly when the coffee will be done. I don't mind them at all.

I have a French Press and an Italian Coffee Pot, and I use coffee beans and two Coffee Grinders: old-fashioned manual burr-mill and a blade grinder

It all depends on the day and the mood, i would make a good espresso or an american coffee.

Also like to have coffee mix with flavors like Cappuccino when in a rush.wink

I'm using Hario Coffee Driper (pour over method) and now I'm looking for a good but affordable Moca Pot.

Because I don't have any coffee grinder, I use pepper grinder to grind my coffee beans.

Had Krups drip coffee maker for almost 20 years, with several repairs done at home. Used to grind our own but found Melita Classic to be really great can of beans.

Just got Nespresso T101 as a gift -wow. If you want to be punched in the head by coffee -try an doppio espresso out of this machine.

I was just going to buy one of those automatic shut-offs. My mom-in-law has been forgetting to turn hers off recently, she left it on the other day and was gone until late that night!! I have a a 12 cup Proctor Silex coffee maker, been pretty good. I haven't long ago bought this pot, was on sale for 10.00, can't beat that.If anyone knows of a good automatic shut-off pot, please post on here, would like to try and get one really soon.

you're so right!! the ingredients in anything, whatever makes all the difference in the world. If you have a great coffee, whatever kind of machine you have will work.
