Happy Birthday USA

Okay, so once again I am crusing around on the OC and I am reading the post of others. Well I decided to scope out the post of my friend, Star. She always has good stuff. So anyway, I read her post for today (7/3/2010) and it's awesome of course. But while reading it I remembered a song from 1970, and of course being the music freak that I am, I decided to share it with you.

This time however I am posting the video link, so you can hear the song. If you want the lyrics, check out her post. They are posted there.

Happy Independence Day, USA. Don't take lightly the freedoms that you have. And don't let us get in a situation where we have to do this all over again.

Till Next Time,
Gramps

Wow! I've never heard the Declaration of Independence sung before. Great post! And Happy Birthday, America! party

Thanks Deb and Dirk.

This song is actually how I learned the preamble.

I can't think of the Declaration without thinking of this song.

But then there is that whole music connection that I have, again.

Thank you, Angeliki. It concerns me that more "Americans by birth" (not to be confused with a Native American) don't ever take the time to read this document, much less learn it.sad
