Okay, so today’s winner is (drum roll, please) {DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD} Okay, that's enough drum roll.

Today I shall blog about the second thing that I won't blog about. You guessed it, religion.

Don't bother coming here looking for religious arguments. Here's why.

You have your beliefs and I have mine. Hopefully you are reasonably well grounded in those beliefs. If you are not then I recommend that you do some studying to find out just WHY it is that you believe WHAT you believe. And because my mommy and daddy was a (fill in the blank), doesn’t cut it. That’s like saying, I believe the grass is blue because my mommy and daddy told me it was blue. Yo! Go look for yourself, you may discover that it is green.

Here are some of the very basics about what I believe concerning religion, you don’t have to agree. (And if you don’t want to hear them, you have the option of stopping your reading of this post at any time.)

1. There is a God.
2. I ain’t him (and neither are you).
3. He is sovereign. (If you don’t know the meaning to that one look it up at m-w.com)
4. He knows what he is doing, I do not know what he is doing.
5. He is in complete and total control, regardless of how things look from my perspective.

And for the record the word “He” is used as a universal term here and does not necessarily indicate that I believe that God is a male.

Well, there ya go. Those are today’s thoughts. And hopefully the last time I will approach either of the two subjects I hope to avoid.

That should clear the way for some progress now.
