Long time no see..

It's been quite a long while since we last made a blog post, CAW has seen some difficult times lately and our blog has been sitting on the back burner for a while.
Never the less, we've had lots of fun participating in community projects and art exhibitions as we always do.
Recently, our team donned it's Alice in Wonderland gear and we went to visit the wonderfully friendly people at the Nelson Public Library. There were smiles all round as the kids got a chance to meet Alice, the Mad Hatter, the White Rabbit and our beautifull Queen with all her guards up close.
As usuall, photos are available on the photo page with a link to our flickr page.

We're in the proccess of catching up with our photo stream and blog so bear with us and we will make a whole lot more info and photos available from different events.

The Nelson Christmas parade

, , , ...

The Annual Nelson Christmas parade was over in a flash, lots of planning and hard work went into it this year.
Of course many thanks to everyone who took part for all their Dedication to making it a special day for everyone and A special thanks to Greta for her work and the beautiful seahorses she made for us. Also, Thanks to Sue for so carefully shepherding our flock.

This year our brilliantly charming mermaids fluttering their tails at the crowd were Judy, Karen, Belinda, Deidre, Becky and Jin Su.

Robbie was Scuttle the seagull who floated magnificently down the highway, Jimmy was our friendly Flounder the fish, Bob was our majestic Neptune god of the sea, Johnny was our very charismatic Sebastian the crab and Faye was our villainess Ursula the sea witch.

It was quite a long walk for everyone all the way from the church steps to Founders park in rather hot weather. Everything went very smoothly and our photographer couldn't help noticing as he followed us how many children he heard gasp "Look! Mermaids!".

Merry Christmas and we all look forward to next year!

Our photos for the day, as always, are on Flickr for all to see *here*
