I have been doing some research on Valerian Root and also combinations of herbs using this herb. I began taking Valerian Root a few days ago. I take 1000mg in the morning and 1000mg at bedtime. So far, it just makes me sleepy...if you are an insomniac as I am...this could help a little. If you are on any conventional medications for any disorder (esp: anti-depressants)...please ask your doctor or herbalist first. Sometimes, this herb can potentiate the effects of medications; so, please be careful. So far, I have not found that this reduces my anxiety.
