Trying to set up Access Point with RaLink rt61pci

As you may know, I've previously tried to make my desktop Wi-Fi card to work as an Access Point. [1] [2] [3] [4] After all those tries, I had given up and set up the ad-hoc mode. However, I still want to set it up as an access point, and yesterday I tried again.

Unfortunately, it didn't work...

One week ago, I've blogged about machine check exception. Today (or yesterday), another MCE shows up on my machine. Damn, this is driving me crazy...

I have suspend/hibernate, and also a battery monitor

This week I've been using the notebook in a more "mobile" way than before. I mean, using it for about 2 hours (usually without being connected to AC), and then closing it, walking outside to grab a snack, and then walk back to another room. Thus, the battery charge level is becoming a lot more important for me than it was before. Also, booting it up and shutting it down about every 2 hours is being a pain.

Thus I think I finally need a battery monitor and suspend/hibernate. And that's what I've done this week!

I need help about mcelog - Machine Check Exception

I'm having a few Machine Check Exceptions, and I have no idea what causes this. Could anyone help me and shed some light on this subject?
