A Society Based on Frustration

Everything, everywhere.
That product that you bought but didn't work.
Or that product that you didn't buy because you don't have enough money.
Or that product that you didn't know you wanted, until other people convinced you.
Or that product that you wanted, but you become disappointed because it wasn't as good as you were expecting.
Or that product that could have been awesome, but the company locked down or removed some features.
Also with software.
With that program that crashes every now and then.
And that word processor that crashes at the exact moment you press the "save" button.
And that other software that tells you it needs to be updated.
And that other one that does the same.
And the other one too.
All at the same time.
Also with hardware.
With that piece of hardware that is incompatible with your computer.
And that other one that starts failing.
Or that gadget that does not go together with another thing.
Or that expensive but excellent piece of hardware that comes with a crappy firmware. And you are unable to fix it.
But not only just products and computer things.
The normal, everyday events are also full of frustration.
Like when you miss the bus.
Or when you run, and still miss the bus.
And when you make some food that does not taste or look as good as the previous time.
Or when you pay to eat such food.
And when your shoes hurt.
But also when you are walking and step onto some dog poop.
Or when you get a bus or drive your car, but gets stuck into a traffic jam. And you think that walking would be faster.
And when the elevator is taking too long, and you start wondering if you should go by stairs.
Of course, human interaction is frustrating too.
When you are talking to someone and it feels like you are talking to nobody.
Or, even worse, when you are surrounded by people, but still feel alone.
Or when you expect someone to do something, and he does not do what you were expecting.
Or when someone asks you to do something, but later changes his mind - after you are done.
But also with simple things.
And when you tell a joke, but nobody laughs.
Or when you do something special, and nobody notices.
Like when a woman do something, and one person does not notice.
And also when you fall in love
and discover that the other person is not into you
or that you came too late, because the other person is already with someone else.
Specially when you think it was difficult to find someone as special as him/her
and it will be very difficult to find someone else.
And then you go to your bed.
And sleep.
Hoping for something.
Hoping that the next day will be different.
Hoping that things will be better.
And then you wake up.
And everything starts again.

When things go wrong, take a walk, early in the morning just as the sun rises. See that person over there? the one selling the newspapers, What time did he get up?
