 I used to have a friend who would call me five times a day to see what I was doing. It was so annoying, like she was in high school or something. I'm sure she is twittering all over the place.

Naomi 1. April 2009, 22:06

@Ps :lol:

@Pam I got addicted to Twitter for about 3 days until I got absolutely, totally, and completely irritated with the continual, self-absorbed updates. I use it once in a while so people know about CultureSurfer. What amazes me is that major media outlets & various organizations are using it now! :yikes:

Matthew 2. April 2009, 02:40

It seems like a decent business application - updates might be important to some people. As a personal diary, it just pains me. I don't care if you're leaving to pee. I'm glad the plumbing is fully funtional, but I really didn't have to know that. I assume, as a living creature, that you satisfy that urge from time to time, but I don't need the particulars - unless something so spectacular as to be completely mindblowing takes place while you're relieving yourself.

I think I'll make a list of all the things I don't need updates about.

Naomi 2. April 2009, 14:05

I knew you'd have something to say about Twitter! Hope you're doing well. It's been a while (my fault, too darn busy). awww

Matthew 3. April 2009, 17:02

As well as might be expected, I think. Thanks.

I use Plurk, which is sort of like Twitter crossed with a Messenger client. Still, it's not very productive - more the evil opposite of productive, really...

Naomi 3. April 2009, 18:05

Aren't most social networking sites counter-productive (Opera being the exception, of course!). p:

Matthew 7. April 2009, 18:56

hahah. None are really counter-productive - it's the way we choose to use them. I think.

Naomi 8. April 2009, 12:59

Hmmm. Is that like "Guns don't kill people. People kill people. " :eyes:

Matthew 16. April 2009, 16:07

I think I'll have a bumper sticker made.

Naomi 16. April 2009, 20:29

How are you? Checking in on Opera less and less to have some down time but I am trying to get back here a little cause I miss everyone.

Phantom2 16. April 2009, 20:42

Just bring beer when you come....all will be forgiven! ::D

Naomi 19. April 2009, 14:00

"Twitter doesn't kill time, people kill time"

Naomi 24. April 2009, 18:21

Matthew 24. April 2009, 18:37

Heh.

New ad campaign:

"Twitter doesn't create the black hole that sucks your life in and spits you out bruised, battered, and without friends or family - but we're happy to provide the vehicle"

Naomi 24. April 2009, 22:18

How are you doing, Matt? I've missed you!

Matthew 25. April 2009, 13:38

I'm OK. I've been unemployed for a very long time, which is wearing on me. Otherwise, things are pretty good

We're hoping to get to St. Louis again in late May or early June. Maybe we'll have a chance to get together again?

How are you?

Naomi 26. April 2009, 12:37

Yes, PLEASE let us know when you're coming in so we can all meet for lunch again!!! :D

So sorry to hear someone as bright & talented as you is not finding work. That's just not right! What are you gonna do? awww

Matthew 26. April 2009, 12:56

Hahaha. That's the question, isn't it?

Naomi 26. April 2009, 17:50

Poor guy. flirt

Matthew 26. April 2009, 23:19

It'll work out.

Naomi 27. April 2009, 12:56

There's no way a brain like yours will go to waste. Keep me updated, ok?

Matthew 27. April 2009, 12:57

You bet

Igor Kolar 24. May 2009, 20:23

Curiously enough, I was thinking of opening an account today...
wonderful video though =) made my sick day a little better

Naomi 1. June 2009, 13:13

Twitter is ok in small doses,as far as I'm concerned. I was addicted to it for the first 3 days I was on it & then became totally sick of it.

Igor Kolar 2. June 2009, 19:25

Dunno, I signed up, uploaded an avatar, changed the background, and thought 'well, now what...' Shouting into the void in hopes of bouncing off someone who cares seems a bit too much for me =) But maybe I'm too stuck up for these new exhibitionist-social-networking-thinga-ma-bobs. On the other hand, its sometimes cool to hear from far away friends who you happen to miss on IM.

Naomi 6. June 2009, 12:07

"these new exhibitionist-social-networking-thinga-ma-bobs."

GREAT description of social networking!!!!!!!!!!!!

Charles Schloss 17. July 2009, 17:29
