Remembering blends
Sitting here within today
Comforting my eyes in grace
Curtains flowing soft
The butterflies gather lunch
Inside the open petals

As one writer to another (a bow to you), how shall I describe this exquisite poem?
Let me simply say that it strikes me as a marvel of compact narrative.
Why so a marvel? - because it packs in such a brief statement a sweet blend of things, significant, meaningful, expressive, telling.
I read again the lines in the first stanza that say
Sitting here within today / Comforting my eyes in grace
...and I sit back and murmur "I wish I had written that!"
And then the finale...
"Curtains flowing soft
The butterflies gather lunch
Inside the open petals"
Magnificent!
Beautiful words lovely to imbibe.
Cynthia,
had I the way that you have with such words I would truly be a poet

My day has been a blend of sadness and smiles.
For the first, I lift up my eyes in Hope and prayer.
For the second, I am always thankful.
As for your delicate and sublime poetry - it is your deep inner expression at work, and you share this with every one, for which we all thank you.

I don't like to hear that part of your day has been saddness. Thank goodness there were smiles too. Take a good rest. Tomorrow is always a new day!
