Materials of Time

Emit Now Time

Flowers of my dress
Floating in the same sweet air
Trees are shedding their old leaves

Branches are bowing
October’s wind calls the snow
Watching nighttime birds singing

Entangled LeavesSunrising in a New Day

Yeah, I know, but December twenty-first is not so far away. The mornings have had so much frost here. I am reminded soon the snow will arrive; but, yes, hoping it waits a little longer.

Thanks Cynthia! I had hoped to post another one today but my computer died last night (heh, what a birthday present!!) and though I've now got myself a nice new laptop, I've got to reinstall my editing software :frown:

Eh, technology. I just reread your poem to take my thoughts back to the natural world!

Cynthia23 25. October 2008, 21:57

Ah, Adele! Happy Birthday! Congrats on the new laptop and good luck installing the software. Hoping you are enjoying the day, other than the computer malfunction, but you have a new laptop! ENJOY!

Captivevet 28. October 2008, 09:01

There have been snow flurries for the last two nights here in Grand Rapids MI. Yuk.

Zephirine 28. October 2008, 10:19

I like this poem  I hope October's wind calls the snow, I want snow this year! :D :D

Captivevet 28. October 2008, 10:48

If you lived in Grand Rapids, you wouldn't be saying that.

Zephirine 28. October 2008, 11:08

Infact, I don't live there! :D :D
What's wrong with snow! Well, (where I live, in Italy) we had about 2oo cm of snow 3 years ago and that wasn't very good for people, but I  snow very much!

Captivevet 28. October 2008, 11:14

I have relatives in Italy, over near Padua. My cousin Angel married an Italian. I have met him several times, and he is a pretty good man.

Zephirine 28. October 2008, 11:32

Well, You could come here for winter!! :D :D

Captivevet 28. October 2008, 11:34

Until I get my tax situation straightened out, I can't go anywhere. I am being dragged over the coals for back taxes. Ugh.:coffee:

noramaj 28. October 2008, 12:47

You can travel and have fun with us on the internet!! Enjoy!!

Cynthia23 28. October 2008, 17:23

Thanks Zephirine! Yes, snow times are ok. You do these things in the summer, and now I do other things during the winter weather. My walks are much less, but there is the finishing of this quilt I hope to complete during these next cold months that have now begun.

Cynthia23 28. October 2008, 17:24

Very cold in southwestern Appalachia also, Captivevet.

Cynthia23 28. October 2008, 17:26

Zephirine 28. October 2008, 18:20

:D :D

noramaj 28. October 2008, 19:08

"Thanks ... tak, zima verses soon" That it is your wards and I thought that you are from Poland.
"tak" means "yes" - "zima" means "winter" - You used Polish wards so I thought that you are from Poland.Sorry.  p: p: p:   :coffee: Best wishes to all of you.

Cynthia23 28. October 2008, 19:11

Oh, nothing to be sorry about. But, tell me ... did I use the words correctly? I know a few Polish words, not often do I get the chance to use it.

Captivevet 28. October 2008, 19:14

In certain parts of the US, there are still a lot of Polish speaking people. Chicago and Cleveland come to mind.:coffee:

noramaj 28. October 2008, 21:44

I know, because Polish people are all over the world.
Yes Cynthia.Exactly in Polish.Fot that I thought that you were Polish.Dokładnie moja Amerykańska przyjaciółko.Correctly.Good luck at using Polish language.

Cynthia23 28. October 2008, 21:45

 Thanks

noramaj 28. October 2008, 21:54
