Moonbeams and shadows
and whiskers on kittens,
Starlight and rainbows
and cold morning mittens,
It's hot and it's humid
but I'd like it to be
cold winter winds
and just 43.
When the stress hits
and the day ends
when I need to unwind
I just sit and listen
to my mother's chat
and going out of
my mind.
Two o'clock news reels
and checking the weather
Hoping tomorrow
is going to be better
I'd like to be sleeping
but I'm wound up so tight
I doubt I'll sleep well
tonight.
