The Apple Aluminum Keyboard

Believe it or not, the reason I am starting this blog is because of the thing you see to the left: the Apple aluminum keyboard. Why? Anti-Jab. If you don’t know what the anti-jab feature is, let me explain. Try to quickly tap the cap-locks key. Notice anything? Yep, won’t activate the cap-locks (however by holding it for a split second the cap-locks will activate). So how come this is the reason I am starting this blog? Well, I am one of the few that prefer tapping the cap-locks key on real fast to capitalize any word, then quickly tapping it again to turn it off. But with this keyboard, I can no longer do that. I am forced to use the shift key.So, my reason for starting this blog is so that I can get used to this change. I’m a student so I will either have to get used to this to effectively write my papers or I’ll just have to switch back to the old Apple keyboard whenever I want to write anything long. I don’t prefer the latter so I figured I’d find a way to effectively use this keyboard. And I did: this blog.
Well now that that’s out of the way, I went to Best Buy on Friday to get OS X Leopard - in which both a video and text review will be coming soon - and decided to get this keyboard as well. Now me going to Best Buy is sort of weird since there are two Apple stores within five minutes from this Best Buy, so why didn’t I go to the actual Apple store for the release of Leopard? Simple answer: I just wanted to get in and out fast to go home and upgrade. Did I succeed? Yep, there was no line in Best Buy to get Leopard. In fact, I only saw one other person going to get it.
Good choice on my part (:-p).
That about concludes this blog. I may actually do a review of this keyboard in a future post, dunno. So, until then, Apple all the way!
