WWE DRAFT AFTERMATH: THE WARS TO COME

Wrestling fans are yet to feel the results of the recently concluded WWE draft. But the question is, in recent months where we’ve seen the talents of all three brands just jump in any brand they like, is the draft really necessary? And aren’t we all tired of Triple H, Randy Orton, John Cena and Batista hogging the spotlight? Not Edge. Edge is definitely more fun to watch than any of those guys. And enough of Shane McMahon already!
But if the WWE Superstars would just stay put in their current brand, here are the feuds we should be expecting to see in the next months until next year’s draft.
Shawn Michaels vs. Matt Hardy
In the October 2008 issue of WWE Magazine, Matt mentioned he wanted to face HBK. With both men on Raw, a meeting should be on the future.
Undertaker vs. Chris Jericho
Jericho is the new Legend Killer and now that he is in Smackdown he will definitely target the brand’s resident legend and future Hall of Famer, Undertaker. But can ex-Y2J “save himself” from the Deadman?
Melina vs. Michelle McCool
McCool is becoming one of the best female wrestlers in WWE and reminds many of Trish Stratus who also started as a valet before becoming a force in the ring. McCool will now have the chance to test her skills against the talented Womens’ Champion Melina who was drafted from Raw to Smackdown.
CM Punk vs. Jeff Hardy
A battle between two of the most innovative Superstars and the most popular guys in wrestling would help make Smackdown the show to watch. Can you imagine a ladder match between Punk and Jeff?
Rey Mysterio vs. Shelton Benjamin
It’s high time that Shelton gets a chance to compete at the top of the food chain and what better way to start than a feud with the exceptional luchadore. Both men are regarded as among the best wrestlers ever and a series of matches between the two will be highly competitive.
Finlay vs. Vladimir Kozlov
With Kozlov’s arrival in ECW, it’s just a matter of time before he started gunning for the brand’s championship. But he should test the waters first by going after resident tough guy Finlay. Maybe with this feud, ECW can finally look “extreme”.
