ALASKAN WILDERNESS

A POEM I WROTE ABOUT ALASKA.

ALASKAN WILDERNESS
AS I GAZE UPON THE BEAUTY OF THE ALASKAN WILDERNESS
MY EYES FILL WITH YOUTHFUL WONDERMENT
LISTENING TO THE ALASKAN WILDERNESS QUITE NOISES FILLS MY
SOUL WITH TRANQUILLITY
WITH EVERY BREATH OF AIR I TAKE A PEACEFULNESS COMES OVER ME FOR
MY SPIRIT IS SET FREE IN THE ALASKAN WILDERNESS

Dear Loku, Thank you very much. I added the poem after you saw the waterfall.

greathoneybear 2. July 2007, 00:04

The picture and the poem both look and sound so peaceful. We all need less stress in our lives.

You are a very good writer.

Dacotah 2. July 2007, 00:28

Thank you very much. I don't think I was able to express how I felt properly in this poem.

greathoneybear 2. July 2007, 00:38

That is true. Nice job! The photo is lovely. I can hear a John Denver style melody to go with that. Have you considered taking this poem to a level of being a song?

Dacotah 5. July 2008, 04:57

Thank you Jackie, no I haven't, I thought about my "Liven In My Heart" one for a song though. Don't know how to write music though.

eagle4eyes 5. July 2008, 05:02

I do. With a little work your poems have the potential to be beautiful songs.

Dacotah 5. July 2008, 05:05

Thank you. Once, years ago a song came to me, music and all but no recorder with me, or paper and a pen.

eagle4eyes 5. July 2008, 05:12

 maybe you should pray about it and give it some thought.

Dacotah 5. July 2008, 05:35
