Sharia Law is evil and should not be allowed to be practiced in the U.S. Or anywhere in the world for that matter. God did not make women slaves.

thaodp 27. October 2009, 18:46

:frown: There are many rules should be canceled.

Nerak 27. October 2009, 19:17

I'm happy that she's fighting it...but I won't be surprised if her plan fails. I hate to be all negative like that, but things are SO different over there. :frown:

Dacotah 27. October 2009, 21:26

Hi Linda, I agree.

Hi Mit, :frown: Yes it should be.

Hi Karen. I hope she wins.

ellinidata 28. October 2009, 01:32

:frown:

So many misogynous laws , way too many!
I believe in basic human rights for all, not just men.
It should be an International law that will help the thousand faceless women left to rot by the Islamic law system.

Did anybody else notice that guy calling Ugandan men "weak mentally"? I'm wondering how the Ugandan men took that comment.

Sharia law will eventually be outlawed, but it will take a lot of time, and a lot of sacrifices, on the parts of strong and courageous men and women around the world.

Let's keep them all in our prayers, and do what we can to help them.

Dacotah 28. October 2009, 03:32

Amen.
Thank you Stardancer.

Court ruled that the 17 year old girl who converted to Christianity had to go back to her parents. She will almost certainly be murdered. For leaving Islam and for making her father lose face. Just waiting to see what happens in her case, but I think she's a goner.

:frown:

BabyJay99 28. October 2009, 08:37

Actually it's not the Sharia law is evil, it's all depends on which country you're in. :faint:

The problem is Muslims in Middle East & South East Asia are totally different. One need to explore those Muslims in SEA to know better.....

Dacotah 28. October 2009, 10:00

Hi Léazz, I don't know anything about Sharia law.
Thank you for your input.

mandystylo 28. October 2009, 17:12

Thanks Leazz for speaking up yr mind. One need to learn the law before passing any judgement. Why people embrace Islam in the USA? These people studied Islam before they embraced Islam. Start by watching Youtube ....

Thank you for that statement - I couldn't agree more!

rose-marie 30. October 2009, 17:37

I agree with Angeliki & Zap too!
I'm no expert on Sharia law, but I think BabyJay has a point. I often hear muslim women saying that it's a huge difference depending on which country/culture/tradition you come from.

Dacotah 30. October 2009, 17:38

Hi Rose-Marie, I hope the laws in the other countries change soon. I hope this woman doesn't get lashed.

rose-marie 30. October 2009, 17:42

I hope she wins, too!

Dacotah 30. October 2009, 17:42

 I hope I hear if she does win or not.

rose-marie 30. October 2009, 17:58

And I hope you'll inform us if you hear anything

Dacotah 30. October 2009, 17:59

I will.
How are you? Sure been missing you.

rose-marie 30. October 2009, 18:06

Awww, thank you .
I've been more at work than anywhere else the last days, but otherwise just fine thank you.
Are you getting any better?

Dacotah 30. October 2009, 18:12

You are welcome.
Happy to hear you are fine.
Still waiting to hear from my surgeon on what he is going to do. Had to get pain pills from him yesterday.
Hanging in there.

rose-marie 30. October 2009, 18:17

Argh! I do admire your patience, Carol. I hope you hear from him really soon! *hugs*

Dacotah 30. October 2009, 18:50

Thanks Rose-Marie, it's hard to be. I just called and still can't get ahold of him. :frown: The ones I talk to make me feel bad, like I'm bothering them. I only called 3 times in the last two weeks. :frown:
Hugs.

rose-marie 30. October 2009, 18:58

Don't let them get to you, Carol. It's their job, so you are definitely not bothering them. In fact - you should call more often!

Dacotah 30. October 2009, 19:17

Thank you Rose-Marie.

Minenow 31. October 2009, 05:10

um, I agree with Rose.. You aren't being bothersome. Dammit..

And about the post... I'm living here in the US and think this stuff is so out of my comprehension that it really just blows my mind.

I mean, people really live this way, and we worry about healthcare and other things that seem pretty damn petty in comparison.

This type of stuff humbles me, and reminds me that I am blessed with so much, even if it's seemingly "silly" stuff like being able to wear pants.

scootr 31. October 2009, 07:06

These laws display how weak Conservative Islamic men are... I read about a 13-year old girl who was buried in the sand and stoned to death for the "crime" of being raped (mind you, the stones couldn't be to large for fear of the young girl dying too quickly). She was blamed because she was "sexy"... I don't care about their cultural differences. The men over there need to figure out that it was "Allah" who made these women. Maybe they can then start having a little bit of control over themselves.... and start being human.

Dacotah 31. October 2009, 09:12

Hi Mina, thank you.

scootr, that is horrible. Sighs.

SqueakeyCat 1. November 2009, 01:22

sick

Dacotah 1. November 2009, 01:24

Yes it is. I just can't imagine getting lashing for wearing pants.

Tamil 13. November 2009, 09:19

Dacotah 13. November 2009, 11:44

Hi Tamil, I know, me too.
