Have been watching this on TV ever since it happened today. Horrible. Glad my nephew isn't there. He's already in Iraq.

L2D2 6. November 2009, 05:29

That major should have left the Army if he couldn't support the U.S.

SqueakeyCat 6. November 2009, 05:34

please keep me informed on this. my x-husband left from there last December, but i don't know if he was there when this happened or if he was still overseas.

thanks for the heads up

gdare 6. November 2009, 05:40

And he was a major in US army? :eyes:

SqueakeyCat 6. November 2009, 05:42

the dude that did the killing, yes...

prayers go out to the families

L2D2 6. November 2009, 05:44

Malik Hasan, Dare, a Major in U.S.Army and a psychiatrist and a muslim.

gdare 6. November 2009, 06:18

I wanted to say that being a major he is not unexperienced soldier and could hand on stress. Obviously there was something growing in his mind for a long time.
It was on our news 5 minutes ago.

L2D2 6. November 2009, 06:40

If justice is done he will pay the price for killing fellow soldiers, and I hope he does.

Dacotah 6. November 2009, 08:13

It's a very sad thing that happened.
I pray for all of them.

Stardancer 7. November 2009, 01:12

More and more information is coming out about the shooter. They have now moved him to a hospital at another base in Texas, too.

This should have never happened.

:frown:

L2D2 7. November 2009, 01:19

Should never have been allowed into U.S. Military given his sympathies.

Dacotah 7. November 2009, 06:04

Stardancer :frown:

Linda, it's a sad situation.

Nerak 11. November 2009, 03:40

I wish I could say that this totally took me by shock, ya' know? It's just SO sad that these types of shootings have become almost common anymore. :frown:

Dacotah 11. November 2009, 04:19

:frown:

Nerak 11. November 2009, 04:22

Yeah...so sad.

Dacotah 11. November 2009, 04:27

The next day there was a mass shooting again, so like you say it's sad to say that it seems more common now.
Hugs

Nerak 11. November 2009, 05:17

I didn't hear about the second shooting. :frown: I'm just so disheartened by all of these shootings.

Also the people who kill their families and then kill themselves. I just cannot fathom how somebody could actually do something like that. That's true evil. I mean, really.

Dacotah 11. November 2009, 05:30

Very disheartening.
Prue evil in the world that's for sure. :frown:

stupid people

Dacotah 11. November 2009, 14:46

Yes Kim, very stupid people.

Nerak 11. November 2009, 22:41

:frown: Thank you for the linkage, Carol. Soooooo depressing!

But...you and I are Christian, so we know that this type of stuff has to happen in order for things to fall into place properly. I guess we could just look at it in a more positive way and just love the fact that we're in the End Times...which I truly believe that we are.
