Hi Dennis, Amen.

Hi Mette, I agree, she is a GREAT artist.

Hi Peter, she is "The voice", Queen of pop. RIP. Amen.

Hi John, glad you are feeling better. Yes, a really great singer, a Angel voice to me. sad

DavidRavo Sunday, February 12, 2012 3:14:27 PM

A beautiful person and a great singer. As I recall, she was a victim of domestic abuse, likely the biggest contributor to her untimely demise...sad

Dacotah Sunday, February 12, 2012 8:07:06 PM

Hi David, I agree that she's a beautiful person and great singer. I don't believe she was a victim of domestic abuse. If she was and it was with her then husband Bobby Brown they have been divorced for awhile so I don't think that would be a contributor.
sad

I was never a fan but it is sad that someone died the way she did. For some people it is better not to have big money left

John BallCATMAN42 Monday, February 13, 2012 7:43:53 AM

I saw her a couple of years ago on the X Factor in the UK and she put on a great performance. That is how I will always remember her.

MettePusilille Monday, February 13, 2012 8:26:34 AM

They keep talking about her on the radio and telly, and mostly of her performance in "Bodyguard", and that is where I got to be a big fan.

Her voice goes above all others, and her life got to be of a public interest.
That is what easily goes too far.
Media blows up everything, and we swallow everything.

She will be remembered by us all for ever.

Dacotah Monday, February 13, 2012 8:45:41 AM

Darko, she was able to hit the notes like no one before so effortless. I agree it's sad.

That's great John. I don't know what the x-factor is. I heard she was going to go Mon. and meet with Simon to go on it here.

Hi Mette, I agree about her voice. Media for the most part I think goes to far in a lot of things. I remember reading an article about her death and the reporter said something odd to me. Something like: Does everyone that made jokes about her feel bad now? I sure do.

I thought that to be bad, I never mad fun of her problems and he thought everyone did.

MettePusilille Monday, February 13, 2012 11:57:13 AM

I do not think that anyone with some common sense makes fun and jokes of a life story like the one of Whitneys`. If so they should feel really ashamed of themselves.
I think media make up stories, and for the sensation of it they feel great.

Elvis` life was filled with medications too, and the same for so many more! And for the heart, mind and body there are a limit for just how much it can take.

Whitney was all the same filled with an angel`s voice, but I think not strong enough to cope with all the problems that followed being a celebrity.

It is a tough life.

Dacotah Monday, February 13, 2012 11:01:55 PM

I agree that they should feel ashamed of themselves for making jokes about her struggles while she was alive.

H82typ Monday, February 13, 2012 11:20:33 PM

+1 However, If I hear "I Will Always Love You" one more time, Ism afraid I'll become homicidal. scared

Stardancer Tuesday, February 14, 2012 12:08:17 AM

My favorite recording of Whitney's was "I Want to Dance With Somebody." Such a fun song, and the video just made me laugh right along with her.

What a sad thing.

Rest in peace, Whitney. Prayers for her family.

Dacotah Tuesday, February 14, 2012 4:26:46 AM

Hi Dennis, I know what you mean. When it first came out they over played it and I was tired of hearing it.
I do love her sing it though.

Hi Stardancer, very sad.
No matter if the person is famous or not it's a sad thing when they struggle through drugs, illegal or prescription.

studio41 Tuesday, February 14, 2012 10:09:20 AM

I love Whitney. My favorite voice. Such a huge and sad shock.

Sorry that such a talented person wasted her life away with drugs, and Bobby Brown, who is idolized, contributed greatly to her use of drugs and alcohol, and yes, he was abusive. I hate to see such a waste of a life. She had a beautiful voice and was a beautiful woman.

John BallCATMAN42 Wednesday, February 15, 2012 2:19:32 PM

I agree and I think that any man who abuse a woman in any way should be horsewhipped.

Dacotah Wednesday, February 15, 2012 5:52:50 PM

Hi Linda, I agree, it's a sad to see anyone, talented or not, waste their life away with drug and alcohol.
Now she's free of addiction. I agress, a beautiful voice and woman.
