A little bit of this & a little bit of that & a few things in between

Liven In My Heart

A poem I wrote for my dad when he passed away.

Liven In My Heart
I thought there would always be time,
time to tell you just how much you mean to me,
time to tell you thank you for everything,
time to tell you that all you've taught me remains in my heart,
time to tell you no matter where I go your love is with me
in my heart.
As time kept passing by I never stopped to realize that somday
there would be no more time, no more time.
Even though someday took away the time I thought would always be,
I will always feel the warmth of your love,
always see your kind smile, always hear your laughter
cause you will always keep on liven in my heart.
In my heart you will always be.

Hello Carol,

I am checking out your poems and I am stuck on this one. Beautiful. My father went to be with the Lord 2 years after his cancer diagnosis last September. He lived the last 4 years of his life with me. I loved and thought very higly of my father. I continue to tear up when I look at his empty chair in the living room.

Hello Bev,

 *Hugs*
Thank you, I'm glad you think my poem is beautiful.
I'm so sorry you lost your father. My dad died Sept. 9th of 88 at the age of 80. My mom just passed away Dec. 17th, 2007 at the age of 86.
Bev, the tears will continue from time to time, that doesn't stop but what I pray that will stop for people is the guilt and emptiness that follows after a loved one dies. I pray that people will find peace in knowing that their loved one is at peace and still with them, watching over them. I pray they know that they will be with their loved one again and that the loved doesn't want you to feel sad when you think of them. I pray that people will remember their loved ones with smiles when they think of the memories.

Thank you Loku.

Here are two favorite sayings that I love.

Remember Me

Remember me with smiles & laughter for that's the way I'll remember you.

If you can remember me with only tears then don't remember me at all.

The other saying I love is.

death is transformation instead of termination; the end is a new beginning...Toilers of the sea Victor Hugo

:frown: really beautiful poems. Made me  too. Makes me think a lot about my family relationships too. Its so sad that nobody remembers that we all have to die one day. The world will be a better place if people kept that in mind instead of holding on to petty fights and grudges...

It's so happened that I have passed by here in your blog and I saw crying not smiling symbols . Anyway I have a good news to you! Do you know that there is going to be a resurrection of both righteous and unrighteous? Yes, the Bible promised that at Acts 24 : 15 . Is' nt that refreshing !
