My little corner of Opera

Occasionally Updated Blog of a Web Addict

Setting Up Shop

Deathshadow got me hooked on this, so point the gun at him. I don't even know why I'm doing this, since I'm not much of a blogger. Anyway, if you want to know a little about me before I get around to fleshing this temp-blog out, I'm a Web designer/developer (I'm more of a coder than a designer) living in Aurora, Illinois - yes THAT Aurora. Why Hollweird chose Aurora for the setting of the horrid abominations that are the "Wayne's World" movies I'll never know, but they did it. When I'm not building Web sites or writing articles, I participate on several Web design forums, including SitePoint.com where I am currently a Mentor on their Design Team. I'm also an avid BattleTech player and am a part of the Chicagoland BattleTech gaming group at Games Plus in Mt. Prospect, which meets (on average) once a month.

I don't know how often I'll be updating this, especially since I'm a pretty busy person (between work, building personal/community sites, and Mentoring on SitePoint), but I'll try to stick to a schedule. Perhaps weekly, but I'm not 100% sure yet. In the meantime, if you have any questions, don't hestiate to ask me here. smile

Nice to see you too, JediBear. I'm saving CBT for later (once I get my PC back in perfect working order). You can bypass the security code crap by signing up for your own account, you know. wink

Hi Sara. Just a temporary ramshackle shack. I might use it for other topics later on (like those specific to the browser) but I'm not quite sure yet.

Hi Spike. Do I have to sticky this post now since everyone seems to be using it as a dumping ground for introductions, greetings, and well-wishing? p
