Aurorans concerned about the quality of their water in recent days can take some comfort in this: according to the Illinois chapter of the American Water Works Association, Aurora has the best-tasting water in the state.

Aurora's water beat out three other competitors in this year's contest in Springfield to win the title, and will now compete in the national event, to be held in Toronto next month. Judges test for clarity, taste and smell, and the competition is blind -- the judges have no idea which samples of water came from which taps.
