I'm in shock right now peoples. I just installed Ubuntu 10.04 alpha 2 on a virtual drive and it started up in 11 seconds!

That's amazingly fast. If Chrome OS's goal is start-up time Ubuntu is not far from behind.

This could draw me to Linux. Time will tell. In mean time I recommend checking it out (with the use of Virtualbox).

Have ever tried Pardus?
Startup time of Pardus is not as fast as Ubuntu but you should try...

Actually, it is a few seconds (4) behind the Presto OS. (Chrome OS is too watered down to count)

I don't care about chrome cause it ain't an Os that can be used out here in India !!
the net speeds are ridiculously slow ... and Chrome OS is a Internet dependent OS !!
11 seconds ... fastest feat achieved so far by any Linux OS !!!
