Growing weed can pose many effects and can be organized into three levels. First and foremost, there is structural damage caused by altering the building. The second level of damage would be the the presence of excess moisture because of the operation. This moisture would in time penetrate into the walls and every part of the home and then creates a harmful kind of mold called the "black mold".

The third level of damage would be on the value of the property and its surroundings. The value of the property where a confirmed group is growing weed decreases as well as the neighboring houses, especially if these get in the news. Growing weed will not only be limited to residential houses too. There are some which are located in apartments and high-rise buildings. Structural damage is done to apartments amounting to hundreds of thousands of dollars because of the alterations that are made to accommodate the operation.
