Do you think I need a new hobby? I had not come here with the intent to start yet another in the hordes of blogs that I now possess, but to find out why my Gaia page has gone wonky in the Opera browser.
Yes, Gaia. They have quite a lively writer's community, FYI. I might be 48, but I can appreciate things like that, no matter which generation's involved.
I am in THE WRITING CIRCLE guild on Gaia. They're a great bunch, and there are monthly writing challenges. They ask yo to vote on the mechanics--which piece is the best, in you opinion, in one of three categories. they also ask yo to make one written submission per quarter. It's active and lively enough, and with only around fifty-some-odd folks, it's a relatively small group.
Another good writers group is located at CritiqueCircle.com. A few of us there used to be at the OWW.
I am currently not active with Critters, though it is a fabulous group. I think the first thing that needs taking care of is my health, before determining just how active I can be on these sites.
