Photos!

,

Yes, this post is about photos. But first I have to say (in a very scotish accent): Bloody hell! I gotta fix up me blog design 'cause o' that "favorites" thing. Ach. EDIT - There ain't no nothing to see there no more. I fixez it.

Anyway, the point is that I'm supposed to print out 6 or more (preferably not a lot more) of my best photos. These will be the main part of the grade that I get in the end. I'm making a new album here, in which I'll put potentials for printing.
The album in question is HERE.
EDIT - 18:10 21.01 - Added some new ones... 10 and up.

Now, I'd really appreciate suggestions here. Which ones should I keep? The deadline is pretty soon too, so I guess I won't get a lot of feedback, but still. What the hey. Thems are intrestin' photos anyways, eh?

Hey Fati, neet to see ya

Thx for the feedback. I already printed/mated them. I'm taking them to the university tomorrow, along with a short esay I wrote to acompany them. I'll blog about it tomorrow, too.

The nature ones (I guess you mean the leaf and ice ones) didn't quite fit into the theme that I formed around the pictures, so I mostly picked the somewhat urban ones... besides you'll see it later smile

Thanks again ^^

Might be too late but still ... I really liked photos 6-8. Those look really awesome and are, in my opinion, the best of your photos. smile

nature photos and that's why I said Nature
let me know how it comes out for you ok?

*Grumble grumble*

Well, it all went down the proverbial crap-shoot. I still have no idea what's going on with it, and even what I heard is bad.

Ugh.

I'll post when it's settled. Though, when - I can't say.

oh sad sorry to hear that
keep trying don't give up smile

Oh - maaaaaaaaeeen! :S Still ... looking forward to the results. smile

The results are... cruddy, I guess is the word. I mean, the grade I got was an 8 instead of the 10 that I thought I'd get, but what rubs me the wrong way is how everything went down. It was all sloppy and lazy, and rather suspicios, as well. I mean, they had to go thru 120 sets of 6 photos + esays, and they apparently did it in less than a day. And most of us got the exact same grade like in the test we took during class.

I won't say anymore - of course, I might be entirely wrong about all of this. Or not.

Bottom line - meh. :/

Fatimahzenya Friday, April 2, 2010 12:07:32 AM

hey 8 isn't bad this will make you work harder
if you got a 10 you would slack off smile

Congrats anyway

While that might be true in some cases, I think it would work oppositely here. I really put a lot of effort into those photos. Some were experimented with for an hour before the final result.
See, it would work like this: I try really hard to do something and then just get a mediocre response when the teach says "meh". This wouldn't make me work harder, it would make me bitter and make me work less, not caring for the result, since all I can get is a "meh". Ergo, it would lower the quality of the rest of my future work.

I'm not like that though. I won't stop trying to improve just because of that. It just makes me rather angry that 120 students put serious effort into something (well, ok, not ALL 120. Let's say, half of that) and recieved such a lazy reaction. It also makes me hope they'll improve they're system for the future generations of graphics design students.

Sorry for being so grumpy and long-winded. Thanks, though smile
