Stuffzies

No posts in three months. Hrmf. How sad.

Well, anyway, I guessed it would be time to post something again. So, here's that something:
(Clikie on the thumb to see a 2048px version.)
I think she looks good. Smooth, clean. I decided to try out cell shading, since I was kinda getting tired of juggling with lines/no lines, smooth shade, blurry shadow, color mix type of thing. I actually reckon I did pretty well, considering my first tries at drawing anime (long story :ko: ). She will be (or, rather, already is) an important part of my Mysterious Project(tm). Has a backstory, has a personality, but - lacks a name :ko:
Anyway - the picture is so-so finished, but I won't put any more work in it. It was only meant to be a simple concept art doodle, but then I cleaned the sketch, added color, added shading, and then even a background (if you can call it that). However, I have other things to draw. I'll leave this as is.

And a little update on DSG: Oblivion has been fixed. Kinda. Some stuff is missing, some stuff still needs overriding/bypassing/fixing, but overall, it's stable and I have my characters and locations back. Maybe I'll finally make the elusive episode 25 soon. Maybe.

Expect more stuff from me soon. I'll be around more often. I hope

Crash, and a big one too... :/

Well, it figures it would happen now, huh?
My computer got infected with a ridiculously nasty virus. So, after trying to get rid of it for a couple of days, we decided to cut our losses and get rid of my Windows instead. So yeah - complete f*-upity.

Now I'm trying to see what I can salvage from my drive... And the worst thing is, I lost Oblivion entirely... The files I saved, but the game is bust. And it will take me a while to bring it back up to where it was... well, quite a while, actually. The entire mod list is gone, and without certain mods, my save games are gonna crash or malfunction, or worse. So it will be a lot of trial and error.
Also, I'm busy installing all the little proggies I had around the comp. Drivers, antivirus software, players, all that stuff...

*sigh*

So - if I'm not replying messages/comments, you know why... I'm just trying to pull everything together here. And it will take a while :frown:

Egad!

There I was, thinking that I could mess around with my design a bit, visiting the blog to scrutinize the whole thing, when I noticed a lot of unknown (and some known) faces in the "recent visitors", and new messages, too.
Wondering what was the cause for such increased activity, I took a look on the community blog, and would you believe it? I'm the member of the week!
Wow.
Like, really - wow!

Thanks!
Or whatever I'm supposed to say here :ko:

I'm hoping that the new visitors will find my blog interesting, and also the DarkSun's Glare.
Ummm.
I'm not sure what to say. I need to come around to my senses.
Oh yeah - episode 25 will be out soon, I reckon. Also, there's a couple of more things brewing in my lab. Like that story I said I would put on the blog - the "Light of Darkness" (don't be put of by the cheesy title :ko:)

New Design!

,

Wheee!

I'm back (though I'll be gone again shortly) and I brought along a brand new design!
Lookin' nice, huh?

Just lookin' nice doesn't cut it yet, though - try reloading the page.
I'll wait...

See? Random pics in the banner!
It took some doing to make it work, but all credits for the coding go to my bro - thanx, man!

The random pics show up in the two frames separately. On the left will always be character shots, and on the right specific scenes. As DSG continues, I'll be adding more pictures to both sides. It's rather easy to do, now that it's working
There's also a new background, new buttons, new sidebar titles, and a couple of misc things. I guess I'll be playing around with it some more later.

The date of the next episode of DSG is still uncertain. I'm finishing up the first semestre, and exams are here, so... yeah.

Still - nice to be back even for a short while :D

Queen + Paul Rodgers... live!

,

29th of October 2008. A date that I'll remember for a long, long time.

Me and my brother set of to listen to Q+PR. In Belgrade. Live.
I was not excited. I rarely am. Life just went on as usually, until that day. We had a solid 2 hour drive to reach the capitol, and we arrived around one hour early. The sight of the huge building was impressive, but the inside was more so. The stage was set up and ready, with enourmous speakers facing all directions, and amazing girders above stage, filled with spotlights. There was some good old rock coming from the speakers as we sat down and waited. Still - I didn't feel anything.
The lights went out. On the huge screen behind the scene, stars started moving and swirling, followed by deafening lightning. Immediatly, I recognized "Hammer to Fall" and with a bright flash, Brian May, Roger Taylor and Paul Rodgers were there.

Thats when I felt something.
On the sight of the actual people, tears welled up in my eyes. They were actualy THERE. THE people. THE legends. Two out of four guys that gave birth to my love of music.
I remember quite clearly - I don't remember the date though. My brother and me were cleaning up our room, soooo long ago, and we had an ancient radio. One made out of wood, with two big knobs and several buttons, speakers covered with fabric... and a record player on top. My bro put on the "Queen - Greatest Hits" and "Don't stop me now" played. It was the first time that I really listened to a song and the first time I loved it.
And now - the folk who wrote and performed it were HERE - in front of me, so CLOSE. No Freddie, no Johnny, but still...
I never thought it would mean so much to hear them - to see them - live.

The whole concert was a big success, and I loved every minute of it. The crowd sang half of the songs along with the band, and gave the biggest cheer to Brian when he went out to the front after the initial rush. I think he was rather supprised. But on the good side.

Their performance was flawless - Roger did a drum solo on the secondary stage. While they were being assembled, no less! And he played with his drumsticks on a fretless bass. Brian's legendary solo was there, of course - something that never ceases to amaze me.

There were some... distractions... but it had nothing to do with the performance itself, and I shall not talk about it now.

As a bottom line - I'll say that that was the best time of my life (short as it may be so far).

And I'll always remain a faithfull fan of Queen... and all it's members.
