"Boun Ok Phansa" or the End of Buddhist Lent in 2009 fell on October 4 in Laos, the villagers got up early to prepare for the Morning Alms Giving at the temple. It was a holiday and a time for celebration. There was no school and many people that are able to take a day off from work were there at the temple to take part in this Buddhist tradition that has been passed down for many generations.(thanks laovoices.com)

For tomorrow, they'll have "Boun Suang Heua" a Traditional Boat Racing Festival at Mekong River the main river of the ancient Lao Lane Xang (Lao Million Elephants. Ah! they'll have many booths of modern and traditional trades along river too.
