About me

My name is David Rhodes. I am a writer living in Marion, Iowa. I like all things scary, so of course, I am a big fan of the horror genre. This is me. I have been married (gulp) three times, and used to work full time and write during my second marriage. After being diagnosed with MS, and subsequently experiencing other health problems as well, I retired from work. I am 48 now, and I share a lovely apartment with my father. I am single now, living a nice quiet life, wanting desperately to quit smoking. I get up outrageously early every morning. One more thing I would like to mention, had it not been for a lovely friend from Facebook,I never would have know about this site. Facebook disabled my account, but they can't disable my friends. Thank You, Tabi!

My work

I have written off and on for years, but I started writing seriously on 2000. By 2004, I had three books completed, and one published. I published again in 2005, and for reasons out of my control took a five year haitus. After moving back to Iowa, I picked up the pieces of my career and returned to the keyboard. I am now publishing a new novel, and working one new projects, trying to rebuild what I almost lost. I am a bit rusty, but I am sure I will regain my style, which I as a writer should say, is still in it's evolutionary stage. I can only continue on as best I can - one thing I would like to say, I have the greatest respect for anyone who has set out to write anything, a book, a poem, short story, and completed it. My hats off to you! Published or not, you are a success!
