Conclusion.
There is not much difference between the train and the car for this journey. It means that I am able to fit in an extra 40 minutes of walking per commuter day! I like to think that I am "Eco-Friendly" so perhaps I should put my money where my mouth is and continue to use the train. I do not think I would like to car share - I've tried it in the past and I think it encroaches on my personal space and is probable less flexible than the train.

Sadly its not an option for me,as an IT Business Consultant I do around 30K per year and that is not feasible by train
