THANX GOD I'M STILL ALIVE

, ,

Hi Opera Citizens!

I'm sitting here at home recovering from injuries sustained after the accident I was involved in on Sunday afternoon. I was on my way to Johannesburg(where I work) from my hometown when our car's front tyre bursted and it overturned untill it rested on its roof on the far side of the road.
This is when one realises how lucky we are to be alive. I was watching the car spin and it was so sudden that I found myself sitting on my head and neck with my legs up which caused my shoulder to break. Then we were rushed to a hospital that's a couple of kilometres away and the helpless doctor did'nt even show me my X-ray results, nevermind supporting my arm with a sling.
Sometimes when watching the news and seeing how many people die in accidents you just realise how lucky you are to be alive. I should've died in that crash considering that I was the worst casualty among all the three passengers (including my younger brother) and the driver(who was amazingly scratchless) but we miraculously survived the fatality of that accident instead.
All the guys who were with me in that car are back to their normal lifes, working, but I think I still have to take a few weeks for my bones to mend meaning that I'll stay away from my job till then.
Talk to you soon.

Regards.

THABO MBEKI RESIGNS, SADLY.

, , ,

It was so heartbreaking and sad to see my president resign from office last night. Only if the person who'll take the oath in the highest office will be good enough, if not better, then this country will be relieved from the devastating economic decline that Zimbabwe is going through at the moment (though that's promising due to the power-sharing leadership they've formulated with the help of fellow African leaders). Hope this will take us a step forward economically and otherwise.

ZAKUMI- THE OFFICIAL 2010 FIFA WORLD CUP MASCOT

It was only released today, the official Fifa World Cup Mascot. So vibrant, colourfull and entertaining it was that showed us and the whole world a true African identity. Well done though it was long overdue. Zakumi, the Leopard!

Mugabe's Reign Equals Apartheid South Africa

, , , ...

Hi there!

Welcome back once again after a long time. I was hibernating, ha ha. In fact my phone, which is my internet tool, was broken but was taken care of by the guys at Vodacare(Vodacom's phone repair unit) and now it's back to working ways though there's still one more bug, the vibration is not working.
Well, there's one thing that's really bugging me, than my broken phone, great Robert Mugabe. I don't know what to call that man. He's more than just a tyrant, maybe a dictator, a traitor, a wizard, a devil? No, that's not enough. A god? Yah! I think so coz the Zinbabweans just like him very much(and bow to him maybe) that they kill helpless and poor MDC supporters for supporting a 'puppet', Mr Morgan Tsvangirai. He's a humanitarian(Morgan) in the sense that he pulled out of the run-off elections(which were set by Mugabe because he lost the main elections and he's a coward coz he can't stand defeat) to save his fellow citizens' lifes.
Poor MDC followers! They got brutalised in their country and fled here into S. Africa, to seek refuge, got brutalised by illiterate South Africans who don't understand the word refugee and went back home only to be killed, again, by ruthless, evil ZANU-PF supporters and the police. A clear example of cold-hearted people of the old apartheid South Africa, the police, being ordered by the founders of apartheid, the presidents counting from P.W. Botha backwards, to kill 'terrorists', as black (revolutionary) South Africans were called. Shame on them.

Regards.

The DJ Is King

, , , ...

Hola!

Who is the most important figure in music? My answer is the DJ. Why not the artist, or the producer? The DJ is the one who decides what to play and when to play it, meaning that you can release your song only for the DJ not to play it, then the people won't know it, be it in clubs or radio. Why? Are they jealous of the artists? Nope! They know and understand music than any one in the world, except choral and jazz songwriters. One has to have an extremely good ear of music to be a DJ then good music will fill up the airwaves and clubs. I've experienced this phenomenon first hand because I'm a club and freelance DJ and that is why too many producers especially in House or any Dance music are actually first and foremost DJs, and then progress into production. Any one with a different veiw on music? I'd like to hear.

King Opera Rules

, , , ...

Hi Great Operaland!

After a while let me pen out my appreciations to the Opera team for releasing the final version of Opera Mini 4.1 some six days ago. The greatest features among others are the page saving feature to access when offline and downloading content without exiting the browser, that's great because it was bugging me ever since I use Nokia because for Motorola the application is suspended and lets you do some other things on the phone and go back to resume Operamini whenever you feel like and continue where you left, that one is one of Motorola's 'intelligence' that I really miss. The next feature that I would really love to see is enabling the application to delete the browsed pages, history, one by one other than "clear the entire history?" and even bringing the one that shows the history like yesterday, 2 days ago, last week, etc. That would be greeeeeeat!!
Talk to you soon. Cheers.
Kind regards.

De Gadgets We Love Most

, , , ...

Hola Operans!

Don't be suprised by de 'hola' dat I'm using, it's South African(slang) for hello, de other one is 'heita'! You will see more of these in Davidson Thepudi's blogs as well because he's my fellow countryman.
Well, I wanna know what gadgets and software do you Opera people love. Phones? PDAs? Laptops? Desktops? Then which OS do you prefer in all of those?
I personally like Linux in desktops, with a softspot for the Mac. And Windows? Nope! Why? I own one, evererybody else (who has a PC in SA) does, a PIII XP, not out of this world in performance. Laptops, eeerrh, let me guess, Macbook? Sort of... I've heard of Lennovo as good, rugged and durable so I think I'll take it regardless of de OS.
And phones? Nokia has loads of devices to choose from, excellent software but for OS I go for Motorola with an alternative for Sony Ericsson which is good for pictures(Cyber-Shot) and music(Walkman) but still lacks a bit on the software side and the OS being better than Nokia but way behind Motorola. Samsung? Not for me(n). Designed completely for women and teenagers because they love beautiful things. Hope everyone may participate in this 'hot' topic.

Cheers!

Hello Opera Community!

I would like to welcome all of you Opera people though I'm the one who should be welcomed to the Opera Community by all of you guys 'cause I'm the newest member as of yesterday. A big THANK YOU to the guy(from Opera) who sent me an e-mail yesterday that let me register easily, though my little problem is that I have not received the activation email(which I was promised to receive) meaning that my account is not fully activated yet, which so says on top of My Opera page. This is my first article in this GREAT web browser for desktops and mobiles that I was so anxious and eager to be a part of or post my opinions to in oder to enhance and upgrade, because one has to sign-up first to be able to send and veiw opinions. By the way I'm from South Africa and would appreciate to meet fellow South Africans(personally as well) to talk about this greatest innovation since sliced bread(as the Americans like to say) as well as share the experience and knowledge(that we explore, discover and experiment everyday) with all the lovely citizens of Operaland. I'm writting this article using my Nokia 6234 3G phone built on the S40 v3 platform(Nokia's proprietory OS) with OperaMini(5 times faster and cheaper than the phone's wap browser) and also have the full Opera browser on my old PIII Windows XP PC which is also ten times faster than Microsoft's own Internet Explorer, I have three Opera Minis on my phone, the old Operamini 3, the new Operamini 4 and the latest Operamini 4.1(still on trial but seems to be even greater thanks to the new page-saving feature and the pc-like website writing). Feeling the difference of the three browsers is awesome not to mention that new feature of saving web pages for future reading without connecting to the 'net. I hope Operamini will include a flash player in future for non-smartphones like mine to solve this issue of browser-selective websites. Thanks in advance for your time to read this looong article. Talk to you soon, hoping to get a response.
Cheers!

Sincere regards.
