A Poem

Here's a recent poem, and I'm posting it because I think it's decent. The first line I hate, though.
I lost my soul today
I took a walk down a lonely way
I floated down the river that flows into the sun in the middle of the crimson sky.
I pulled the needles out from my eye.
I saw the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth and the sounds of the earth in red.
The slow beauty of it swept like ocean waves into my mind
It's not finished yet.
Sorry.

It holds great promise..
though I hope you are alright.. the poem so far sounds.. well a tad dejected ..

And yes, it does sound sad, but that was not by design; I was just writing words that flowed into my mind at the time.
