This is Misty. Actually we later discovered that the name should have been 'Nifty', but we'd previously taken in a cat called Orange which was... well- orange, and another called Felix who was a dead ringer for... You get the picture. Naturally we just assumed this was another obviously named feline and heard what we expected to hear. When she first went exploring some people down the road assumed she was a stray and named her 'Snow White and the Four Paws'.

Cats have a memory for about 30 words. Using 20% of it on a name seems a bit mean to me.

That's probably why she stayed with us.

That and the fact that we feed her Bozita (When we're feeling flush...).

What is Bozita? Misty looks a lot like my son's cat, Mogget.

It's a Scandinavian cat food that doesn't contain quite as much garbage as most of the others do and consequently costs a whole lot more. One of my sister's cats has to have it so we just kind of got around to giving to all our cats and buying it in bulk between us.

Sometimes we give them Nature's Harvest, but that's just so danged expensive that it has to be a special treat.

Mogget is a great name. Not predictable like nearly all our cats are. One day we'll get one that doesn't already have a name...
