Politicians in "Oh, what fools we've all been for all this time" shock confusion horror.

The government has just noticed that we have too many policemen. We can, it seems, fight crime better with fewer of them, it's been proved in several countries of the world. Which ones? Erm... Well, just New York actually, which I thought was a city (Yes, I know it's also a state, but the figures that are being used to prove this theory originate from the city and they are, to put it mildly, a bit of an aberation...).
It seems that honesty is not in great supply in parliament (Tries to look surprised - The Man in the Hat)
because as we all know this is utter felgercarb, the police force, like everything else, is being cut back in order to balance the books and keep the economy happy, and as I've said many times before, the economy won't be at all grateful. The economy is not our friend, neither is it our enemy, it's indifferent (©Misquotes 'R' Us).
