The process of studying is time consuming, energy sapping and complex. But the fruit of effective study is sumptuous to the soul. While reading, speaking and writing are isolated aspects of studying, to study itself is more encompassing than the sum of the three concepts named above. It is therefore not surprising to hear people attribut their success in academics to effective study. Consider the words of Francis Bacon that "Reading makes a full man; Speaking, a ready man; and Writing, an exact man". Then think of what will become of a man who studies effectively.
