Peace 4 the Missing

I'm taking this blog in a little different direction than what I had planned. I am going to venture into reviewing and bringing attention to other blogs and sites dedicated to awareness of missing persons. Although I'll continue to bring entries here from my parent blog Mothers are Vanishing, because I feel it is important to get them as much exposure as possible, I feel that other blogs will also give exposure to missing persons that I personally have not written about.

The first one I would like to feature is Peace4 the Missing. http://www.peace4missing.ning.com.

Peace4 the Missing is an interactive site located on the NING network. You will find many family members of missing persons as well as others who join to encourage and support their needs. Within the main page each member can create their own personal home page, decorate it as they like, and take their message where they need it to be.

The set up is a little different than message boards, forums and social network pages in that it incorporates the best of all of them. There is chat capability on the main page where everyone who wishes can converse in real time. There is a FORUM area where a range of topics are discussed and there is a GROUPS area where individual missing persons are featured along with individual issues surrounding the many facets of a missing persons case.

The membership varies widely from family members, advocates, psychics, and supporters of all categories. The way the site is set up is ideal for the members to exchange information that is helpful in their searches as well as feeling the love and support from other members when it is needed.

The doors to Peace4 the Missing are always open to anyone who sincerely wants to be involved in helping families of missing persons any way they are able. It takes many talents combined to complete the mission of creating a place to vent, pray, and bring peace to the loved ones of a missing person, and Peace4 the Missing is a one of a kind site dedicated to doing just that.
